Follicular Unit Extraction · Şişli, Istanbul

FUE Hair Transplant in Turkey

FUE moves hair follicles one by one from the back and sides of your head, where hair is resistant to thinning, to areas where it has thinned. There is no linear scar, recovery is usually quick, and transplanted hair keeps growing because it comes from your own donor area.

How it works

Your FUE hair transplant, step by step

  1. Assessment

You send photos of your front, top, crown and donor area. A doctor reviews them and you receive a written plan and quote.

  2. Hairline design

At the clinic, your doctor designs the hairline with you, based on your features, age and the grafts available.

  3. Extraction

Under local anaesthesia, each follicular unit is removed from the donor area with a small circular punch and kept in a protective solution.

  4. Channel opening

Tiny channels are opened in the recipient area. Their angle and direction decide how the new hair will grow.

  5. Implantation

Grafts are placed into the channels one by one, with finer single-hair grafts at the front for a natural edge.

  6. Aftercare

You receive written instructions and a first wash at the clinic, and we follow your growth for 12 months.

Is it right for you?

Who is a good candidate for FUE?

Stable hair loss

FUE is most suitable when the pattern of hair loss is understood and stable. Your doctor also considers how your hair may change in the future.

A healthy donor area

The number of grafts that can be taken safely depends on the density at the back and sides of your head.

Realistic goals

A transplant redistributes your own hair. Your doctor explains what density is realistic for the area you want to restore.

FAQ

FUE hair transplant: common questions

What does FUE stand for?

FUE stands for Follicular Unit Extraction. Each follicular unit, a natural group of 1 to 4 hairs, is removed individually from the donor area and then implanted where hair is thinning.

Do you perform FUE or DHI?

We perform both FUE and DHI. They share the same extraction step and differ in how grafts are implanted. Your doctor explains which approach suits your hair and goals.

Does FUE leave a scar?

FUE does not leave a linear scar. Each extraction leaves a tiny round mark that is usually hard to see once hair grows over it, although it may be more visible with very short haircuts.

Do I have to shave my head for FUE?

The donor area is usually trimmed short so grafts can be extracted. Whether the recipient area is shaved depends on your case, and your doctor explains this before treatment.

Is FUE painful?

FUE is done under local anaesthesia, so most patients feel pressure rather than pain during the procedure. Mild discomfort afterwards is usually managed with the medication your doctor prescribes.

How many grafts will I need?

It depends on the area to restore and the density planned. You can use our graft estimator for a first idea, and a doctor confirms the number after reviewing your photos.

When will I see the final result?

New hair usually starts to grow after 3 to 4 months, and the final result is generally visible after 12 to 18 months.
