Women’s Hair Transplant in Turkey

A hair transplant can help women with stable, localised hair loss, such as a high hairline, thinning temples, traction alopecia or scars. With the DHI technique, grafts are often placed without shaving the head. Because female hair loss has many causes, every plan starts with understanding why your hair is thinning.

What we treat

Common reasons women choose a transplant

Hairline lowering

For a naturally high forehead, grafts can bring the hairline forward in a soft, rounded shape that suits a female face.

Traction alopecia

Years of tight braids, weaves, extensions or ponytails can thin the edges and temples. Once the tension has stopped, lost edges can often be restored.

Temples and scars

Thinning temples, scars from surgery or injury, and small stable patches can be filled after the doctor checks the skin.

How it works

Your treatment, step by step

  1. Private online assessment

Send photos of your hairline, parting and the back of your head, along with your medical history.

  2. Understanding the cause

Your doctor looks at the pattern and stability of your hair loss and may ask for recent blood tests.

  3. Hairline design

The design follows the natural, rounded shape of a female hairline, with fine single hairs at the front.

  4. Unshaven DHI

Grafts are taken from a discreet donor zone and placed between your existing hairs with an implanter pen.

  5. Aftercare

You receive written instructions on washing, styling and colouring, and we follow your growth for 12 months.

Design

A female hairline is designed differently

Typical male hairline with receding temples compared with a rounded female hairline Typical male Typical female
Illustrative. Male hairlines often recede at the temples. Female hairlines are usually rounder and lower at the temples, so the design keeps a soft, oval frame.

What changes in the design

  • A rounded, oval front without deep temple corners
  • Fine single hairs at the very edge, with small irregularities so it never looks drawn on
  • Small baby hairs at the temples and widow’s peak if they suit your face
  • Density planned to blend with your existing parting and styling

Patterns

Patterns of hair loss in women

Doctors often describe female pattern hair loss with the Ludwig scale, which looks at how much the central parting widens. The pattern helps decide whether a transplant, medical treatment or both make sense.

Stage ISlight widening of the parting. Often managed medically first.
Stage IINoticeable thinning along the parting. Selected cases may suit a transplant if the donor area is strong.
Stage IIIDiffuse thinning across the top. A transplant is usually not the first step.

Unshaven technique

How grafts are taken without shaving your head

Back of the head with a narrow donor band hidden under longer hair Donor band, covered by hair above
Illustrative. A narrow band is trimmed at the back of the head. Longer hair above falls over it, so it is hidden from the first day.

What this means for you

  • Your hair length at the front and sides stays as it is
  • Grafts are implanted between existing hairs with an implanter pen
  • Most women can style their hair to cover the treated areas within days
  • Your doctor confirms whether unshaven treatment suits the number of grafts you need

FAQ

Women’s hair transplant: common questions

Can women have a hair transplant?

Yes, when hair loss is stable and localised and the donor area is strong. Women with diffuse thinning across the whole scalp are often better helped by medical treatment first.

Do I have to shave my head?

Usually not. With DHI, grafts can be placed between existing hairs, and the donor area can often be taken from a small zone hidden under longer hair. Your doctor confirms what is possible for you.

Can a hair transplant lower my hairline?

Yes. Hairline lowering with grafts is one of the most common requests from women with a naturally high forehead. The design follows the soft, rounded shape of a female hairline.

Does a hair transplant work for traction alopecia?

Often, yes, once the hair loss has stopped. Traction alopecia from tight braids, weaves or ponytails is a frequent reason women choose a transplant, as long as the tension on the hair has been removed.

When can I colour my hair again?

Your doctor will advise you. Many clinics recommend waiting around four weeks before using hair dye.

Why do you ask about my medical history?

Hair loss in women can be linked to thyroid function, iron levels, hormones or other conditions. Understanding the cause first helps protect your result.

When will I see results?

New hair usually starts to grow from around 3 to 4 months, and the final result is generally visible after 12 to 18 months.
